WTF? Extreme? Because he has a well worn copy of the Constitution he follows?

Every good "Progressive" knows that Constitution is old and therefore out of date, meaningless in our modern world. And if we can't trust some document less than three centuries old, what about the eons old Ten Commandments? Let's replace that with something that fits our modern times, like One Commandment -- "Don't get caught".

Public safety is the Left's new tactic to subvert the Constitution. It's actually not a new tactic. Same with abortion which is not found in the Constitution yet these scholars cite the Liberty clause.

The cry of "Public Safety" rings hollow, when the fact is a vastly increased number of guns in "civilian" hands in the past several years has not disturbed the downward trend of violent crime. (We recently hit a 51 year low in the murder rate.)
That does not prevent all of the Left from claiming "More guns can only mean more gun violence/crime/death". They never let facts affect their "thinking".

CW3 Harvey K. I think the tactic has always been to use feelings and not facts. Americans have a s-ton of firearms and ammunition. It's not the legal owner, law abiding citizen that is shooting up schools. So the Left must attack the NRA and the Constitution on feelings and cite public safety. I'd like to propose for public safety reasons that the government impose Liberal, Progressive, Socialist Free Zones so we don't have to listen to their BS anymore. I also propose that Texas BBQ and Shiner be mandatory food items paid out of the 600 million that taxpayers are forced to give over to Planned Parenthood. Win-Win
