It ain't the guns, Rahm --- It's the criminals you have to get "off the street". Rudy Giuliani focused on criminals in NYC. Too bad you weren't smart enough to do the same. Enjoy your retirement.

Number 1 or number 8 is pretty meaningless. Stop the police from working, encourage an adverserial relationship between the police and your community and you pretty much guarantee chaos.

It does matter because whenever gun control talks come up the people who are obsessed with their guns say "well look at Chicago. They have the strictest gun laws in the US and they have a lot of crime so gun control doesn't work." But they don't have the strictest gun laws in the US.
