Pilot In Small Plane Crash Near Hanson Airport Dies

The Massachusetts National Guard has taken a hit to its ranks. CW3 Scott Landis was a UH-60 Pilot with A Co. 3-126 AVN, MARNG.
I deployed to Afghanistan with Scott in 2013. He and I didn’t always see eye to eye, but I’ve got a great deal of respect for him as a professional and as an Aviator.
The battalion, the Commonwealth, and the Army lost a wealth of knowledge and experience with his passing.
His brother Patrick is still in critical condition.
Scott was home on leave from Kosovo because his father passed away. Scott and Patrick were going to spread his ashes over a lake when the engine on the Aeronca 7AC Champion failed and the plane crashed.
