Very interesting. How would you suggest we go about beginning to "create plans to clean up dangerous space debris and eliminate the natural threats that could emanate from space, such as errant asteroids"? Since we currently don't have any capability toward it (nor are we building it). Good discussion in the article.

To me, space debris is merely an extension to the pollution of our oceans that humans have done forever. It’s a terrible tragedy. How we clean either up is beyond my pay grade.

SCPO (Join to see) - I definitely agree. I think it will be a problem in the future. I just don't see any plans as yet. I wonder if the AF is working on it.

Susan Foster Joint Space Systems Command is tracking this stuff. I expect they will start cleaning it up when the parts or the materials become valuable
