After watching this video, I had enough of an understanding to make my own California Complaint rifle "fins." Two sheets on Amazon cost $8-12 dollars, a toaster oven, and some cardboard to make a template and you can get started.

I have a local vet that makes mine, holster and mag carriers.... Very nice work great prices.
Been using Kydex a lot lately for dash and switch mounts, USB port and SAE plug port mounting
super easy to form...if you can envision it, you can form it.

Interesting. But to be honest, as inexpensive as most kydex holsters are, I will probably buy mine.
