Soldiers to shoot more, stay longer in infantry school

Well I am not Infantry so I do not know the intricate workings of the Infantry school, but it seems to me that more training can only make you better. Even in the AG Corp AIT only scratched the surface and gave you some basic tools to use when learning all the things you had to learn through OJT at your first duty station. So maybe so additional training will make them more prepared to absorb all the things they have to learn once they arrive at their first unit. On the other hand it means the poor 11 series guys get to spend 8 additional weeks with their Drill Sergeants.
