California Coast Monster Kayak King Salmon fishing

Jae, is a friend of mine from Northern California Kayak Anglers (NCKA) we are an online club of kayak anglers. Going after salmon is tough work. he is using a Hobie peddle powered kayak with an outrigger set up. Notice he is dressed for the water not the weather, we all expect to go in sometime, and SF bay area water temp never exceeds 55 degrees. The water will kill you fast, we put safety paramount in our club, we won't let newb's out with us if they don't have safety gear. We preach it and live it. It took Jae 4 attempts to land a hog. jae is a hardcore fisherman. He once dove on top of a worn out thresher, he had battled to the boat only to see the hook come undone. Suffice to say he landed that fish. Threshers from a kayak are one of the ultimate challenges for a Kayaker in these parts. I am not a that level yet, and doubt I ever will be, I have too many other hobbies.
