LTC Stephen F. Damn I am old. Darryl and I were TAC Officers together. He was the man. Former Army football player, and a very humble and exceptional leader. I believe, he is also the 1st African American to be selected for that post. Hooah.

Thanks for responding COL Charles Williams and letting us know that you were TAC officers with Daryl A Williams.
My classmates from USMA class of 1980s were discussing him - he was a Plebe when we were Firsties :-)
When I was researching him, I came across LTG Daryl K. Williams who now commands DLA. In 2002 when I was assigned to the HQDA G--4 planning cell, Daryl K. Williams was read on for the OIF plan and was obviously tagged for greater things.

LTC Stephen F. - Well, I just know as a Young TAC, Darryl was the example we all wanted to be like. Professional, humble, and just what right looked like. Man, we are getting old.

This is actually focused on the incoming Superintendent of USMA, West Point LTG Darryl A Williams not the outgoing SGT David A. 'Cowboy' Groth
