The dimwit that stole it should do hard time at Ft. Leavenworth.

The former Airman better hope that his judge gets laid the night before his sentencing and is in a very good mood. The mere possession of an unregistered full auto is 10 years in federal prison. Larceny of military property is Dishonorable discharge, forfeiture of pay and 10 years He could be in double jeopardy with both civilian and military charges.

Cowboy, He won't go to Leavenworth, but I'll bet San Diego has a bed for him. Let the Marines have him for five years. No offense but from what I saw at Manheim during prisoner transports, the Army has gotten a little too PC on the inmates......but not the USMC! And yea, that's coming from an AF Cop. Cheers bro

Charlie, I will tell you I have never stolen a weapon of any type, however, I got to spend a little extra time in Afghanistan once because some jackass thought he could smuggle some stuff back. The powers that be did search warrants on his home storage buildings and found lots of stuff he had already stolen and smuggled back. What a jack ass! I love weapons, I love to blow stuff up, I love to shoot, but I dont own or have any of that stuff. Charlie I just erased the last couple of lines I was getting more angry and it was showing in my writing so I am going to pump the breaks on this one.

Another Black Eye for SF. I hope the Marines at the San Diego Naval Brig treat him right for the first portion of his incarceration.

I went through our stuff before each PCS to make sure we HAD NOT brought stuff home that was accountable or not ours. Parkas to pens. If I found it, I returned it.
