I was the Operations Officer in a strategic communications center handling thousands of highly classified documents when this scandal erupted, and I was praying that Elsberg's trial would expose the abuse of classified documents. Sadly, the prosecution misbehaved and it never came to trial. I have long suspected that this was done on purpose to hide the misuse of the classification process. Documents were being classified for political purposes, just as Elsberg complained. I also suspect, the same is true today...

I think CPT Jack Durish that you are correct on both counts. A number of people should have gone to jail then and we are in the process of repeating that now. History repeats itself for rhose who refuse to learn from it.
