IMO, as long as we do not control the narrative, we will not win the war there. The narrative is being taught in Mosques, Maddrassas and homes.
So, we should be a disruptive force and not try to win the war in Afghanistan. That place may have some national interest. But, nothing like the oil fields and Israel LCDR.

The Russians used total war on the Taliban but still failed. Alexander the Great killed 100,000 Afghans at one time, but he still did not break their spirits.

North West Frontier Province is considered to be Afghanistan territory by the tribes. Pakistan has no control over these N.W.F.P. areas. Peshawar is one major hiding area of this scum. Quetta is another. Dara is a arms depot. Same trails and routes across mountains being used since Soviet invasion, since British occupation and into history.
