Every war is full of the worst humanity has to offer...usually on all sides.
It's probably for the best that we keep such stories in the shadows...since for some reason, people tend to remember them, rather than the one's about kids charging the beaches at Normandy to save the world from a madman.

In our national desire to honor all Veterans, we overlook the fact that just because a person wore the uniform, it does not automatically mean that person was honorable. SGM Wooldridge comes to mind. There were worse.
We seem to forget that our military, especially in the past, were made up of a segment of our society, good and bad.
