I have a pair of .177 Crossman Red Tails, 1,200 FPS smacks the crap out of squirrels and snakes.

I find that Air rifles in general are easier to use when noise is an issue, I have taken out ground hogs with .177 on occasion but I find the.22 pellet much better and easier to get a one shot kill. And a .22 pellet in a single shot 22 cal rifle using a nail gun blank can have more penetration than a reg 22 cal round. :)

That is a Ruger 10/22 with an integrated suppressor. Very quiet.
How's this for quiet Top?

SSG Will Phillips - While I like that it sounds like an air nail gun, I don't want to pay for a tax stamp. I usually wait till 4 July or about that time to do my varmint sniper missions unless I use the 22 pellet rifle. Nothing like siting on the back porch with a nice cup of coffee picking off the ground hogs coming through the wire :)

With the tax stamp and extras, I think I have as much in it as a good Kimber 1911. All in all, it is my favorite toy. Here is my second favorite toy.
