Alan K. - Many years ago, I recall that it was discovered that the type of gun most often used in crime was a .38 S&W Special double-action revolver with a 4" barrel.
That was the same type of sidearm that was standard police issue at the time, and a similarly popular firearm on the civilian market.
It should come as no surprise that the more popular, and therefore most commonly encountered, types of guns are used for criminal purposes.

CW3 Harvey K. - Oh, the price is absolutely irrelevant to the dicks that steal what they want! And like a telescopic sight, it is the object to blame, not the perpetrator...

Problem with the Airline Pilots getting to carry after training, was that the training was always done at the most inconvenient time, or they did it in a far off location. Only Pilots that have the chance to carry was because they were willing to make a lot of sacrifices to get it done. My favorite question is: How Much Training? Until they can pass the Seal training school? Make the law, and then see that the training required will almost be impossible for most people to pass.
