I'm sure losing a rotor is more than a minor flight issue.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel I once flew from El Toro to San Clemente Island. The SGM sitting next to me was a tad nervous. Every few minutes, he would sneak another breath into his Mae West.

On approach to the island the Crew Chief commenced collecting Mae Wests. My BB became very, very busy deflating his Mae West!!

CSM Charles Hayden - Can't Say as I Blame Him. Lot of Sharks around San Clemente Island. Lots of Memories of Conducting NGFS and Weapons Training Off San Clemente Island. That is Where I Learned to Hate the SM-2 with a Passion.

Chip I am pretty damn smart but I am not an aviation expert, but I am going to go all in with you on that one. That would be bad.
