Lt Col Charlie Brown I was raised in a right of the right Republican house. I have admitted here on RP, that I became disillusioned of both parties. I was a case of who blew the most popular smoke up our asses (pardon the language) and voting was who was lesser of two evils. So I just lost interest in the politics altogether. When President Trump, got put on the ballot I made it a point to go and vote, I put Buster on his leash and we walked down to where I was supposed to vote (I do not remember just how far a mile is LMAO) the people who were greeting those who were coming in, took Buster and I almost had to fight to get him back LoL JK, but they loved on him. Okay sorry got off track.

I see our government a bit different than most. In our 3 branches of government, the Judicial, Legislative, and the Executive. They all have their own parts of the sand lot. Problem is that our President was generally someone who has spent most of their lives as people who were coming to run from Legislative. In other words they had absolutely no idea how to run a business!!! And don't get me wrong, The United States of America is a Trillion dollars business. He wasn't caring any baggage that your run of mill politicians have accrued in a lifetime of serveies in our political system. I went to sleep around midnight, thinking that The Wicked Witch of America was going to win. And trying to figure out what the shortest route to Canada. Imagine my surprise when I woke up and seen that President Trump had won.

Okay I will pick up my soap box and wander around till I find another place to say what I want. May everyone have a wonderful and blessed weekend. Stay Safe

Thanks SGT (Join to see) sometimes I forget my happy meds (just kidding) truly I was serving in a time where our Commander took the time to tell us that if we were going off base to tip a few to go in groups and not get caught alone. I was spit on, called a murderer, a rapist, and a baby killer. I get a bucket of lead every time someone says "Thanks for your service" I say Your Welcome, wondering if their parents was one of those who made it a point to let us know that we were below them. See here I go again.lol
Stay frosty my friend!!!

I say thank you back to most of them. I don't feel like I did anything to warrant a thank you. I was doing what I felt was necessary. I stayed active until the day my left knee went sideways and my Det Chief fell over me. He's the one that started the MMRB paperwork. I had my JAG lawyer try to argue that my record and accomplishments should allow me to stay active. So, instead of getting the ARCOM that in the pipe I got an honorable and a chance to deal with the VA. Yeah it's easy to get me going to. Later

I'm not sure either party today is something our parents would recognize back when we were say 10 or so. I can't begin to explain what the parties have morphed into, but frankly neither is my ideal. Only reason I'm even registered to any party is because in Florida you can't vote in primaries if you are registered as an Independent. This seems strange because I've tended to vote on issues, policies and agendas, not party my entire life, but hey those are the rules where I chose to live, so in order to have any say I had to pick a party.

Me too. But when it comes to the general election, all bets are off. Each on their own merits and positions

Yes, I'm all over the ballot and never have been, nor will be, a straight party voter.

Thanks for the post on Alan Dershowitz Lt Col Brown. Very interesting and informative read on this
man who understands the truth of what is happening in the legal system today. We are in a very dangerous situation in America when diverse political opinion and even thought can be made into a crime by some people in law enforcement and the judicial system. Mr. Dershowitz has taken a stand for the law and not for political ideology which is clearly biased against certain American citizens.
Mr. Dershowitz is a man with a strong backbone and honor to stand up and speak the truth on what
is happening in our legal system today. The law is not to be used as a weapon to force a political ideology on the people.
