This was one RAW weapon. Shook and rattled like crazy, but I loved it. The 240B is nice, but it's so refined, it takes away some of the fun the M60 had.

My son is a 240B Gunner at the 101st. He loves it. Not wild about packing the ammo for it. His AG can't pull his weight. POS.

TSgt David L. - But he missed the era of the rattle prone M60. I bet his view would change once the fore grip and the trigger assembly fall off mid belt, he got a runaway gun, mismatched barrels, all the fun stuff. I think this is the only weapon in the Army that truly was impossible to clean. Carb cleaner wouldn't clean the thing being it had been used when Moses parted the sea and made it red after shooting the 60.

SSG Warren Swan - I'm sure. Funny you mentioned carb cleaner. I've used it for years. My 11B was complaining about how long it took to clean the 240B so I told him to get a couple cans of carb cleaner. He was done in an hour and change while everyone else was STILL trying to clean M-4s! His NCO saw what he did and detonated on him. "You can't do that! It ruins the weapon!" So he made my son clean someone elses 240 as punishment for being efficient.
