Thanks COL Mikel J. Burroughs for letting us know that the remains of U.S. Army Private Rudy Johnson have been returned to his home state of Arkansas.
Kudos to the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) personnel and volunteers who work to locate, identify and return remains of service members killed in action.
Private Rudolph Johnson was assigned to Company K, 3rd Battalion, 365th Infantry Regiment, 92nd Infantry Division. The 92nd Infantry Division, the only African American combat infantry division in Europe, fought from November 1944 until April 1945 at the Gothic Line in northern Italy.
