If anyone told me that a canal could be formed within our government to drive the results of an election in our country, I would have told them they have been reading too many Tom Clancy novels. Particularly if it was the upper echelons of the Intelligence Community. In another time, this would have been called sedition or Coupe d’ Etat, since it continued post election. Not only should he have been fired, but I hope prosecured as an example to others. It will only get worse when the IG Report and OPR recommendations are released. And to think we were/are concerned about Russian collusion.

Prosecuted for what though Master Chief? If he was truly guilty of a crime, why not hold him in place doing some kind of "admin" work, until you either have enough evidence to slam him ass, or allow him to go with a reprimand? Why wait 36hrs before he's set to retire and THEN use a extremely vague message where "He's being fired for not being candid enough with investigators". I too would like to see the unreacted report. Being the IG is "supposed" to be an independent body of the DOJ.
I believe this isn't over at all. This is a political move that protects two people, one who has been catching hell for rescuing himself in the beginning. One who also sat in front of a panel and used "I don't recall" more times than Troy Aikman. If he is convicted of a crime, by law he forfeits his pension. That is how it should be, except as of this moment no law was broken. "Lying to the FBI" is a crime, but "Lack of Candor" is very vague. There are consequences for it, and I'm actually interested in what they are, but not finding too much on it yet. These articles make it interesting though.
I'm not defending McCabe, but the timing of it all is what's weird. It's made worse when the President has over the last year gone after every single person that said anything wrong or disparaging about him. It's always personal cloaked on "professionalism" Sessions will keep his job for this, but for how long is the question. Rothstein will keep his job for a little longer (but he's definitely in the crosshairs), and Mueller would be the ultimate prize. I reckon we'll have to wait this out.
No man or woman should find out they lost their job VIA twitter, MSM, or a subordinate. If you can hire them, you should be man or woman enough to tell them you're fired. It keeps your credibility intact, and maintains your authority beyond what is on paper. In both, you maintain respect.

Just another one of those situations we are like two blind men describing an elephant, one from the trunk, the other from the tail. In my instance, backed up by two non-political agencies, the IG and OPR.
