Would you like to bet something worthwhile I can’t post a story about an AirForce 1Sgt who has done something incredible stupid and criminal ?
Assuming you are not that out of touch and understand I can ...

I assure you I would not take that specific failure of a human and make claim it applies to you as well simply because he is a peer of yours.
Even though you just made a sad attempt at the same ignorance here in this post

He seems fond of "false generalization", extrapolating one teacher's --- assumed -- reckless firing of a gun in school as proof that will be common "if teachers are armed".
He demonstrates that by his statement that he finds the subject teacher typical of all teachers --
"Same teachers same weapons so yes I am equating them."

He has a lot of flaws in his logic, including his application of "Occam's Razor", which I discuss elsewhere.

1SG Dennis Hicks - It's amazing how many think that stating their opinion is equivalent to defending it. Everything they post is "self-evident", because they have uttered it.

As much as I agree that teachers shouldn't be expected to carry firearms to school, I think this incident is not indicative of teachers as a whole. This guy took precautions to avoid injuring students - so his intent was not malice towards them. He's probably angry at the idea and couldn't think of a better way to make his point.

MAJ Don Bigger - My favorite, Major, is "Acu rem tetigisti."
What do you think of the application of Occam's Razor to that "tu quoque"?

CW3 Harvey K. Briefly, and if I understood your question correctly, your employment of tu quoque was an appropriate response to his flawed argument, pointing out a clear logical fallacy (in this case a mistake in reasoning). His use of Occam’s Razor doesn’t fit his argument. He hasn’t presented any hypothetical solutions to a problem, so you can’t begin to pick the one with the fewest assumptions.

If I misunderstood your question, let me know.

MAJ Don Bigger - "Acu rem tetigisti", Major. Occam's razor has no application to his "tu quoque".

Super sketchy...he took the gun on campus...then told all the kids to exit the room. Then fired a round for no reason...tell me this isn’t a political stunt

SSG Jessica Bautista - And yet he survived a suicide attempt by gun. Not impossible. I had a fellow worker who did, but I don't extrapolate his experience as being very likely.

If he was suicidal, I'm intrigued as to why he went to his classroom first, barricaded the door, and shot through an external window when the principal tried to uock the door...

Lawl suicidal. Come on Jessica. This guy is an extremist. He planned this. He executed it, and now he's going to get the reaction he wants from less-extreme lefties.
