Also if You appeal the ticket what human is coming into court to testify to what He himself saw ? As a Police Officer for over 30 years I couldn't just take out radar and use it without making a daily check to insure it was accurate and functioning right and that had to also Be supplemented by My own observation when I did use it. The radar by itself wasn't acceptable, it had to have an actual person also witness the Violation in person on the scene. I'll bet that machine wasn't checked before use each day plus there is no witness.

SMSgt Lawrence McCarter - I too was a full time LEO, and Speed Radar was a certification class. During the class, we had to visually look at the target vehicle and estimate, to the instructor, its speed, then he would light off the Radar. We did this day in and day out until we nailed the speed to within 2 MPH consistently. And learned how to test the accuracy of the Radar with the tuning forks at high speed and low speed and log the results, time and date with dispatch. We rarely lost a Radar Speeding ticket.

CWO3 Dennis M. - Yes Sir, estimate, radar reading, observation, check the equipment. On the Civilian Police Dept I was also a certified Instructor on the radar and when our Dept upgraded I determined which type We would purchase. In the Miltary i also was qualified on the radar and also VASCAR which wasn't radar but an actual computer used to check the average speed of a motor vehicle between two points VASCAR could be used stationary or in motion but took a lot more training than radar use.

It's just a scam, don't get involved with them. There re municipalities all over the country in court with them. After the City and State had both banned them, they were caught taking pictures of cars and running tags for "their data base"

I kind of like what the British do to their cameras, this is and will always be about revenue.

I would love to see that happen here, these companies set these up to make money, not for safety.
