Thanks Maj Marty Hogan for reminding us that February 27 is the anniversary of the birth of British-American actress, businesswoman, and humanitarian Dame Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor, DBE who began her career as a child actress in the early 1940s, and was one of the most popular stars of classical Hollywood cinema in the 1950s.
She married and remarried a total of eight times. Many of us in Virginia remember that she was married to Senator John Warner who was her sixth husband.
She had serious illnesses - brain tumor, skin cancer, pneumonia and congestive heart failure were among her catalogue of ailments and she underwent three hip replacements.

She led a troubled life and I doubt she is resting in peace. In any event, I hope I am wrong and
Elizabeth Taylor is indeed resting in peace.

It is also the 27th anniversary of the birth of my youngest son Caleb.
