Very Interesting and a much needed capability in today's brigade combat team.

We had the Stinger weapon system at our two main Air Force bases in Korea from 1984 to 1996, and there was a plan to deploy to the Philippines until Pinatubo erupted. Budgetary problems forced the USAF to cancel the program, from what I've heard. On a personal note, it was the best duty I ever worked.
