PO1 William Nagel - Thanks for posting on the Ken Burns series, finished it awhile ago ,with I'm sure along with my fellow RVN vets viewed this with mixed feelings ,some right on point some not so much probably due to different times,AOs ,duties etc,l had a problem with the portrayal of the average grunt being shown as a village burning ,innocent civilian shooting non professional ,most of us did our duty to the best of our abilities and I thought this part was skimmed over,be well Brother,Phil.

The series was way too sympathetic to the war protesters, and it was easy enough to find a few vets in agreement. I was disappointed with the series, but not surprised. More Ken Burns left-leaning film speak.

SPC Andrew Ross - I just felt the portrayal of the VC and NVA soldiers were shown to be freedom fighters that did no wrong, committed no atrocities, and we were pot smoking, raping, pillaging barbarians,I won't even go into the protesters at home still a very sore topic for me even after all these years.

Curious how some of y'all perceived the Vietnam series. I watched about six episodes and had a lot of mixed feelings about it. I'm sure Ken Burns had enough footage to arrive at any imaginable conclusion.
