When you’re feeling very stressed & don’t know which way to turn, a good hug can be a beautiful way for you to ground yourself & bring you back to a more balanced state. A hug from someone you know who in not caught up in the same event or situation that is the cause of your stressed state, is by far the best person to ask to support you.

Witch hunt ? Yes for sure. You need to be just more than a bit cautious. I have been thinking about this lately. Probably better to be the hug-ee than the hug-er.

CPT Jack Durish I've never had a problem with giving a veteran (Man or Woman) a hug. I never gave out hugs in the office environment because that is the wrong place. I only gave them when it was appropriate in uniform! I served for 37 years and never had one issue. The hell with the "Witch Hunters!" and the Hell with the predators out there giving "Hugs" a bad name. That my 2 cents on brother and If I see you again in California you'll get the Veteran ritual hug from me Jack!

At the job I retired from we were told to never touch anyone in any way. That way there would be no question as to whether sexual harassment occurred.

That is how my day started. A six year old gave me a big hug. Being on vaca rocks. Great thought as on our walk I told them it is nice to wave at everyone as we go by to make their day better. I despise sinus infections! They usually take several rounds of antibiotic for my body to rid itself of it; however, my last one about a year ago was knocked out by one round of antibiotic and I did not need to seek further treatment.

Thank you SPC Margaret Higgins. I went to the doc and he gave me some antibiotics! he said the flu and bronchitis have been really bad, so I am just glad not to have either of those!
