When caught in a lie, he brought out the "fake news" claim.......gosh, where have we seen that before?

Just about every day from the Oval Office. But nor by an Ambassador lying to and about the nation he is supposed to be representing the US to.

What a rube. Let's not pretend this is abnormal these days. I feel like this is the shameful par for the pathetic course.

I think it is abnormal, but is also becoming the "new normal" for things as they currently are. I don't accept it, but since I can't change it I don't commit energy and bandwidth to it.

He serves at the pleasure of the POTUS, and as long as he is eligible and confirmed under the laws pertaining that's all that matters. Not being qualified, politically correct, lying, or being an embarrassment to the USA no longer matters so much anymore. That ship sailed long ago. You don't have to accept it, but might live a little longer if you don't let it get to you. If it's not within your control to change, then it is baggage better left unattended. IMO.

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - That's certainly another option. I disagree with a lot in our society, but try to focus on things within my ability to change. If you consider that people that had a fierce dislike for Obama had to tolerate him for 8 years, the shoe is now on the other foot. It's not realistic to expect things to always go in your favor. They won't - and you set yourself up for a lot of disappointment and even anger. Considering all the resistance Obama met, it's likewise not realistic for Trump supporters to expect everyone to accept his words and deeds. Obama wasn't nearly as radical and aggressive toward those against him as Trump, and I think Trump supporters often forget his words and deeds. This makes it even harder to accept his wish to be treated fairly by the media. Nobody can deny the media campaign against him, but they should realize he has brought most of this on himself, and continues to with his divisive tweets and speech.

I would deny a media campaign against him. The media as a whole didn't start treating him like everything he said was garbage until long after he repeatedly called them all liars and shills. Mostly they just repeated back his own words, and we're met with cries of fake news.

I'm not a supporter of him, but I have no problem admitting the media does obsess about him. I also agree that it's mostly his words/deeds and that he gives them plenty of material to work with. I do think they are 24/7 Trump though. Unless there is some real news in the world they stick to all the panels and discussion groups, and insert a few updates on current events throughout the day. By they I mostly mean CNN. They are either massaging his latest tweet or provocative statement, updating on the non-progress of the SC and Congrints, discussing his upcoming agenda focus, or occasionally updating on current events and real news. It's a which came first - the hen or the egg - scenario regarding them triggering him and vice versa IMO. A constant back and forth and it is forcing him to react. I believe they realize it and are intentionally provoking him to please their audience. I just want the who, what, when, and where, and don't need them telling me why, so it isn't so pleasing to me. It has become counter-productive and is shaping opinions of low-info AMCITs.
