Thanks SP5 Mark Kuzinski . When we study the Rolling Thunder and Linebacker campaigns in ACSC, two patterns emerge: 1. ROE for bombing campaigns represent the linkage between the Strategic and Tactical levels of war...tight ROE limits tactical success but does not damage national strategic reputation (Rolling Thunder), where loose ROE enables great tactical success but risks strategic reputation/alliances. 2. Continuous heavy bombardment, particularly after enemy SAM systems have depleted their inventory (Linebacker), is far more effective than stepped or start-stop-start bombardment interspersed with peace talks (Rolling Thunder).

SPC Alfred Cornelius - Where? What types of bombs? For which aircraft? Andersen (Guam) still had bombs in storage for the B-52s when Linebacker II ended.

Maj Marty Hogan When we were operating north of The DMZ we would make at least two strikes a night, then catch up with the oilers and ammo ship during the day for a drink and more bullets. It kept us busy.
