What a bunch of bullshit. This article is simply the usual stereotypical "the military is weak because of women and gays" theme with a twist in that it tries to tie it to the Gulf War for comparison. There are far too many BS examples to go through them all, but one that stood out to me was his comment about the woman who earned her Ranger Tab, and "how well fed" she looked. Same old conspiracy theory bullshit wrapped in a new wrapper.

I didn't realize our military is on life support. I have noticed the recent veterans I have hired are not the same as veterans from a decade ago, they treat their service as another job. Maybe its the cell phone, maybe the pay, it will take someone a lot smarter than me to help figure it out but I as an employer have found that the recent ETS'd vets are not as loyal, don't have the same esprit de corps I had with my buddies of 30 years ago. We got together last year in Dallas for Veterans day hadn't seen them in over 30 years and we still are ready to fight if our great nation needs us.

With the current generation of soldiers and it's hard to answer what's going on. Possibly a change in the 80's and 90's on how society viewed parenting. Kids are sheltered more and learning independence later in life. Technology hasn't helped and it's taken over how we think, communicate and make decisions. This is how the current generation goes though life and what the military gets. Takes a little bit of time to reprogram the way of thinking from self service to selfless service. Doesn't always work and the ones having a hard transition get a bad taste and leave. This is probably what your getting.
