It has been a long time since I watched a Turkey pardoning which apparently was initiated after President Truman did not pardon the first turkey in his administration :-)
Each President has interjected humor into this activity each year primarily because families and children were present and watching this warm-hearted pardon.
Happy Thanksgiving to each of you.

The wife and I were in the next room, when we heard Pres. Trump remark that 70 years ago, President Truman did NOT grant a pardon to his turkeys. That delivery line was great. We howled with laughter.
