In Alabama, fundamentalist evangelical pastors would rather have a powerful male politician who sexually abuses young teenage girls than one who would support two consenting adults of the same gender being allowed to marry...
Why? Because the first action is Biblically permitted, and the second is a "crime" for which the two consenting adults should be put to death for practicing.
Where do Christians get their morals from?

No, that is not the issue. According to many of those supporting Moore, there is no prohibition against sexually abusing young teenage girls in the Bible, so he did nothing wrong.

While I suspect Moore is guilty of raping a child, I can't prove it and am not going to run around claiming I know he did it and demonizing anyone who supports him for that reason. We don't really know one way or another, and we should admit that.
That said, even if all five of those women are wrong and Moore never did any of the stuff they accuse him of doing, Moore is still monster. I can think of no better word to describe someone who is trying to roll back a broad range of religious and civil liberties, someone who doesn't believe religious liberty extends to religions which are not Christian and who advocates for his interpretation of Biblical law (Theonomy), and prioritizes that over constitutional law. He is effectively a leader of a Christian Taliban which could push this country into endless civil war.

Ok, odds of him being guilty went up another couple orders of magnitude... that said, we still shouldn't treat someone as if they were guilty (unless they have admitted to it) without at least an indictment.
