Time will tell.

If the markets continues to rally, consumer confidence continues to grow, unemployment continues to drop, the wall gets built, legal immigration gets reformed, and ISIS is finally wiped from the face of the planet (all happening now by the way), then anyone who runs against President Trump in 2020 will have a very long row to hoe. - Funny how you don't hear about any of these wins from the media.

The long poles in the tent right now are reforming Health Care, Tax Cuts, and reforming Government (i.e., draining the swamp). He pulls these off, then nobody will stand a chance against him as the capitalist engine of our economy will be running white hot and everyone will be benefiting from his time in office.

No one will ever wipe any terrorist group off the face of the planet. All that is going to happen is Daesh will go into hiding like AQ did and rebuild.

What wins? You talk about things that haven't happened yet?

The market is sitting at 23,104. The Consumer Confidence Level is sitting at an eight year high. The wall is being built as I write this. Illegal immigration has fallen off by 67%. These things have already happened, or are ongoing. Mark those up to the win column.

ISIS is in full retreat and surrendering in mass. Will they be eradicated? I am willing to bet on it. Not only are they universally loathed by Western Nations, they are none too popular with either Iran (Shite) or Saudi Arabia (Sunni). Hell, the Taliban doesn't even like them and are warring with them in AFG. That means they have no home court advantage and are rapidly running out of places to hide.

Time will tell.

Col Jim Harmon - The President doesn't get the credit for the robust economy. The budget didn't start on his watch until Oct 1, 2017. If it stays robust, then he will get the credit. The wall isn't being built--it's not within his purview, as he doesn't hold the purse strings. Perhaps Congress will appropriate the money, and perhaps they won't. But Mexico won't pay for it no matter what he says. I will take that bet on terrorism being eradicated. It may not be called ISIS but it will be called something else. Those perceived grudges haven't gone away; they've been there for generations and will continue (it's mostly about young men feeling like they don't have a future). We Americans have short-term memories; if everything is perceived as "good" then he will get credit, and if not, he will get the blame whether he did them or not. Just like every other President.

You were saying the same things during the last election cycle. There was no way he would win, he would get killed in the general election etc. I don't know what the next election will hold but I would expect the white house to like their chances. Why is this a surprise to you?

I don't regret it at all. I voted for him this time and will vote for him again if the Democratic party can't produce a viable alternative for me to consider. I have stated before and will state again I am neither a Democrat or Republican...I vote the platform and the individual. I tend to lean to the right a little more but if a Democratic Candidate comes forth that can open my mind a little bit more to what they can do for the country I will consider it...however, if it is like the last election, for me, I had no other choice. In this last election my only choice was Trump. I could not in good conscious vote for Hillary and the things that she stood for. She had way too much baggage and I was scared of what she would do. Therefore my only alternative was Trump.
