If a foreigner bought one of President Obama's books while President Obama was in office, was he accepting an emolument?

Trump just needs to set his assets aside in a charitable foundation, charge millions for his wife's speaking events and he'd be legitimate, even when using that charity money for personal expenses like his children's wedding.

Just another desperate attempt to nullify the will of We the People as expressed in the election, by the sophomoric petulance of the losers. It's time to stop. Actually, it's long past time to stop.

Wow......you are in fine form today, Captain Jack. Your tendency to "talk down" to people you disagree with is showing.......kind of a "Trump-like quality" that you sometimes display. So your point is what? Since he was elected by "the people".......we are to ignore any and all questions of whether he is conducting himself in a legal manner? I don't think it is any small thing that the head of the ethics office resigned his position, after serving numerous administrations from both parties.......saying that ethics are not even in the discussion with this administration. If that isn't a red flag.......I don't know what is. This emoluments thing is certainly worth a look.

BTW, Captain Jack........you should learn your Navy rank structure before you bring out the "butter bar" stuff. In the Navy, a butter bar is an ensign.......not a LTJG.......in fact, I believe a LTJG is equivalent to the rank of a Captain in the Army.

SSgt Gary Andrews - Nope, LTJG is equivalent of 1LT Army. Little matter. I've met plenty of people in long pants who never outgrew their shorts
