Let's continue to support brave and courageous Americans — firefighters and first responders.
It’s a movie that tells the true story of the firefighters who courageously put their lives on the line to battle the deadliest fire since 9/11 — the Yarnell Hill Fire in Arizona.
19 out of 20 firefighters died fighting off this wildfire.
These American heroes deserve to have their story told. Their families deserve to have their stories told. And we owe it to them to hear it.
At a time when our culture is so self-obsessed, we need stories that remind us of the selfless acts of heroes that go unnoticed every day of our lives.
Only the Brave gives us that story.

COL Mikel J. Burroughs Looking forward to this among other films. With the toll that the fire took on those brave souls, I imagine it will be infiltrated by onion chopping ninjas, and not have a happy ending. Still it is a worthy story, and as you said one that deserves to be told.

I hate those onion chipping ninjas. But me like us who understand loss can't help but feel for them, and their families. The people who don't cry, don't know loss the way a veteran does, if at all. In their sheltered lives. And hopefully they never Will.

Arizona is a very nasty place to battle wildfires not that there is any great place to.
In the national forests we are seeing years of bad fire management practices play out.

You are correct. They knew this was a problem when I was in college for forestry in the mid 70's. At least we recognized the problem in college, politics and the moribund nature of civil service in general ensured the practices continue ...

COL Mikel J. Burroughs there are eighteen different wildfires attacking the Napa Valley area of California. Firefighters are working 24/7 to try to save homes and lives. Over a dozen people have been killed already. These are true heroes!
