Kaepernick was kneeling to protest police shooting of black people, not "black Homicides." I do agree we need to try to understand why those massive numbers keep happening and find a means to end it.

I'm well aware of his issue. Problem is police shootings of black people, 99% young men, pales in comparison to the shootings of black men by black men. It's not even close. And the much larger number of people shot by police are white. And, yet, the bottoms line should be the number of people shot or killed by police every year that are later proven to be innocent of the crime for which or the situation in which they were shot. That number is microscopically low. No one talks about that.

SCPO (Join to see) - "later proven to be innocent of the crime"???

When in this nation has it been required to be "proven to be innocent" of a crime???

MSG Stan Hutchison - "Found to be or determined to be innocent" Is that better? I "lived" in state circuit courts. People were "proven" to be innocent part of the time. It's simply one of half of the two halfs of the judicial process. Example, the use of an infallible alibi by the defendant "proved" he or she could not have committed the crime. Don't get hung up semantics.

Black on Black violence has always been a problem that no one wants to do anything about and or talk about. More young black Americans die in one 24 hour period in Chicago than by Police for an entire year. I would be nice if you could recognize the problem and attempt a solution.

Not only ignores it but also distracts from any real attempt to solve the problem

The one thing it has done, is bring the problem to the forefront.....everyone is talking about it. Whether or not it leads to any positive action is another matter......

The issue for which Kaepernick first kneeled is so far removed now from the focus of everything that it might as well be the unrepaired Hubble Telescope.
