My rifle company came under 4.2" mortar fire while practicing a firepower demonstration at Ft. Riley, Kansas. Three or four rounds landed on my company, causing several shrapnel wounds & generally shaking everyone up -- I don't recall any fatalities. Of course, a lieutenant was blamed.
