What If South Korea Acted Like North Korea?

The point is? Should we act more like China or should they act more like us? Or, should we not waste time on fantasy scenarios and deal with reality? Or, should we resign ourselves to the fact that there simply are no decisions left to be made? That President Clinton made the key decision long ago, that North Korea would be a nuclear power, and there's nothing we can do about it. That China decided that a madman would be allowed to decide if and when a nuclear war would break out between themselves and us. Should we now be fatalistic and hide in fantasy until the nuclear Holocaust?
