Tracking politicians' promises | PolitiFact

It's interesting to see promises kept, as well as not. However one cannot determine whether or not that's a good/bad president. Just a man of his word.

Too bad there wasn't a way to measure a politician's intent, i.e., did they make a promise knowing that they would never be able to keep it just to get elected. Obama did just that. He had no basis for the numbers he put out saying he would turn the economy around or you could call him "former" President. He promised transparency and a website that would be set up so that the people could see what Congress was voting on before it was voted on, yet Obamacare was pushed thru Congress, back room deals were made behind closed doors, bribes offered to get States on board, and Obama STILL couldn't produce a birth certificate that wasn't a computer-generated forgery! Talk about transparency. Are 30,000 emails deleted from a private server that had classified information on it, and false narratives being pushed to deflect attention away from your illegal activity "Transparency!" ??? The only thing transparent about the Obama Administration is that they were lying to America about their unconstitutional actions and illegal activity! They were even caught lying under oath and nobody was held to account by the Congress they lied to.

Meanwhile we have a President that managed to get elected DESPITE: massive election fraud committed by the Democrats whose Primary was rigged to put Hillary in; a hostile press that was against him from the start; being lynched by FOX in the first GOP Debate; Hillary's cheating in the debates where she had been given all the questions in advance and was observed communicating with hand gestures to the moderator; and having the FBI and Intelligence community feeding the Democrats information about his communications and business dealings -- which they later used to try and concoct conspiracies about Russian meddling in our election!

Since Trump has been elected the Deep State has gone underground and continues to work overtime to set him up for failure. AND despite all their best efforts he has STILL managed to reverse the growth of our national debt. That is a major accomplishment but the lamestream media is more concerned about Melania's shoes?!!

It doesn't take a genius to figure out what is going on. But it seems America is languishing in its own stupidity. People simply don't want to dig to figure out fact from fiction. They would rather be spoon fed swill than have to exert mental effort sifting through the garbage we are fed for the truth. This country is under attack by the Globalists who want to subjugate America's sovereignty under International control. It's hard for me to fathom how anyone with a pulse could think that the Progressive idiotology being pushed at us is good and in our best interests!!!

It really doesn't take a poll or study that attempts to determine if a politician made an empty promise or didn't keep a promise they made... Heck, figure the odds we'd ever get an unbiased and honest assessment! Whoever conducts the study is going to get the results they are looking for... and even if we knew the answers, what do you do with that?!!

We have known about Obama's election fraud for eight years. Arpaio made several videos proving Obama was a fraud and distributed the findings to Congress. NOBODY has yet had to answer for that!

When our Founding Fathers drafted the Constitution, they didn't do it in a vacuum. They went about the subject with much forethought and examined every political system that had existed previously as well as those that were still conceptual and they came up with the Constitutional Republic that so far has lasted about 240 years. The Founding Fathers did make one assumption when they wrote the Constitution... They assumed an educated and informed electorate that would elect upright men of noble character that would honor their oaths of office and commitment to represent the people that elected them.

We didn't have much to choose from this last election but the people finally did learn from their mistakes with Obama and voted for a guy who promised to undo Obama's legacy. Trump IS qualified to serve and is doing his level best to make good on his promises. We have a compromised government bureaucracy resisting much-needed change. Obama promised charge and then went off and did his own thing and divided this country along lines of race, class, and gender. He set this country back so far economically that it will take multiple generations decades to reverse. Our intelligence community and an alphabet soup of government agencies have been penetrated by Deep State operatives and we fuss over whether Trump is intent on keeping his promises? It should not take a study to help you see what is going on.

The ONLY thing that is going to change the direction this country is headed is for people to come together and speak with one voice and put our government on notice that we expect results and are going to hold those we elect accountable. The ONLY promise we should be concerned about is whether or not they are keeping up with the promise they made when they took their Oath of Office. If they sincerely make good on that, the rest will take care of itself.
