You never know who or what you're standing next to. My issue isn't with his "white pride" or the "master race" beliefs, it's the fact he actually used his PTSD as an excuse for committing a crime. Dakota Myer even spoke on this on tv when another vet did the same. PTSD hurts many, in a lot of different ways, but to use it as your "get out of jail free" card is asinine and wrong. How are we as a community going to get past the stigma of PTSD when you can throw it on the table at will? The article is interesting and has more to do with what he is vs. what led him to this. I focused on the PTSD and crime part of it.

I am sorry but you lose your vet card as soon as you join any hate group. When you join the military you took an oath to fight and defend against enemies foreign and domestic. If you are part of a hate group wanting to restrict freedoms from other people based on sex, religion or race you are now a domestic terrorist.

The free use of PTSD as his reasoning for what he did does. I personally don't care about his personal racial beliefs. It does a disservice to the rest of us who do suffer from it when it's the catchphrase when one acts a fool.

And thats what makes me question reporting these days...That animal spent almost no time in the Army. Washed out of Basic. Which is significantly less than "several months".
That being said, I'm disgusted that any servicemember would join a group like these.
