I could care less about any poll. The polling companies and groups were wrong last November.

I am embarrassed for my country too. We have almost half of the country acting like spoiled children and trying to destroy property, violating other citizens rights, and thinking our hard earned pay is their golden calf.

I am embarrassed for my country when a former president goes overseas and talks badly about his successor. Especially when that former president wasn't anything to write home about his damn self.

I am embarrassed for my country when a group of 535 men and women who swore to uphold and defend the Constitution, can't look past getting their nest eggs padded to do what is right, legislatively, for "We the People".

I am embarrassed for my country when 9 men and women, who are supposed to be the best legal minds in the country, determine its constitutional for the government to mandate purchasing a product.

I am embarrassed by my state's elected officials (both democrat and republican) who have, and continue to, increase tax rates and budgets to 'nanny state' myself and my fellow Oregonians. I never realized that I didn't know how to live my own life. Oregon has taught me better.

The sign that Wes appropriate for the last administration was, "He who makes no decisions, makes no mistakes". One of my XOs long ago used that.

Oh I agree. Our government and society from federal down to local is the responsibility of the American people. We're as accountable for our dysfunction as the leaders we put in charge. I'll still hold the leaders accountable though.

I'm sure you do. I just don't understand how. That's like blaming a person with a broken leg for limping. I don't see anything that says the President, Members of Congress, or Supreme Court Justices are "leaders". We the People are the leaders. They are merely our employees.

CPT Jack Durish - Interesting perspective however "We the People" are not the leaders. That mindset is disturbing as it supports idea that a minority group (a racial group, or the Top 1%, or a religious group, etc.) can monopolize the leader role in our country through the election process. Who controls the elected representation in government destroys the "We the People" ideology in a Democratic Republic. A majority that is subjugated will eventually revolt.
