1st this bill is not JUST about protecting Vets as the title implies..."Democrats Fight Back With Legislation To Stop Trump From Deporting Veterans"
The title seems to have "forgotten" to include the rest of the bills goal.

"Democratic push to protect non-violent, undocumented immigrants ."

2nd, who are these US Vets that was denied citizenship and deported?
Here are some
http://www.cnn.com/2016/04/26/politics/deported-veterans-support-house-hector-barajas-tijuana-mexico/index.html
But oh wait.... the Vet featured in this story choose not to seek the fast track citizenship available to him while serving as thousands of others have done because they wanted it... And this featured vet "struggled with alcohol and drugs during the closing days of his Army career."
and this Vet featured in this story "One night, he was arrested for shooting a gun from his vehicle. Even though nobody was hurt, he was charged with assault. He pleaded guilty to illegal discharge of a firearm and served two years in jail."
AND THEN in 2013, Presidents Obama's administration policies had him deported....But of course, its all Trumps fault that Obama had him deported in 2013...uhhh, wait, no that is just dumb...

As a follow up, I know of only 3 Non US citizen Vets I served with that did not use the fast track to citizenship while they were in.
One was Court Marshalled and kicked out
One was not able to because she did not do what as required of her while in (not ineligible, just procrastinated on the paperwork and process ...she is still in the US)
One chose not to seek US citizenship when they found out his wife was ineligible for citizenship and likely not even be allowed a continuing Visa after the SM departed service. They chose to move back to their native country after he separated.

There may be Honorable discharged SM fully eligible for citizenship that for reasons beyond there control did not take advantage of the Fast Track to citizenship afforded a serving US service member ..but I never met one, and I can not find a link that leads me to one.

Happy to be educated and shown the individuals this bill purports to protect
Honorable discharged SM fully eligible for citizenship who were deported or are in fear of being deported......link us to those Vets if you support this bill please.

Now if they'd only fight like that for better insurance for the people, or for the veterans.

I have a big problem with how many democrats frame this deportation issue. If the vet served honorably and is convicted later of minor crimes I dont have an issue. However you get one who continues a criminal life style then its time to say good bye and deport. Most who serve do so honorably but a few bad ones get in and they need to be culled out.
