I really don't care what a bunch of Harvard Elitists have to say about Fraternities. I am still closer to members of my 1971 TTAN Pledge Class then I am to my own siblings. Three of my 1971 Pledge Class and I go back to meeting at Plattsburgh State in July 1969 for Summer Freshman Orientation. We have remained close ever since. I have many friends and a few that I consider brothers from my Army career (one of which I went to OCS with). But, my heart will always remain with the Brotherhood I pledged my fealty to 46 years ago. We are celebrating our 60th Anniversary this coming October. We are the last Original Fraternity at Pittsburgh State and the only one to ever expand to another SUNY Campus - SUNY New Paltz - in 1984.

While I've never been a member of a Greek fraternity, I don't think they should be banned from Harvard or any other university. I understand some of the negative stereotypes that surround fraternities, but again think they should continue to exist. Address the specific issues and problems with the organizations, but don't ban them.

US Constitution, 1st Amendment.
Harvard students might want to read up on that whole freedom of association thing.
It is right next to the part where they can peaceably assemble and air their grievances to the government.
