Sure, this could be a TDA item, issued 1 per 20 soldiers. What could go wrong? Can only imagine the FLIPLs for loss and damage.

MSgt Stephen Council - The Army is all about basis of Issue Plans (BIOPs) for fielding densities....of course to be a total fun sponge, the fielding would have to go through force mod and PM Soldier channels, PEMA funded. They will Be pure fleeted as blondes to achieve 100% commonality of parts, except for SOCOM. Commanders will have to report fielding status via USR commander's comments. DAMPL will ensure base models, A1s, A2s, and carbine versions will all exist through the force at the same time. Soldiers going through NET in groups of 60, led by a contractor from General Dynamics. "Master Gunners" would have to be appointed in writing by the commander, maintaining the DD314 on each. Once The lateral transfer is cut, commanders would have to add it to their property book, verify serial numbers (data plates...), add it to their sensitive item inventory. Racks would have to be modified to store them in the Unit Consolidated Arms room. The XO will add it to the Level 8 DEL and secure blocking, bracing, packing and crating materials. They will be banded to wood warehouse pallets with a sheet of plywood under it for for air movement, door bundle for airborne operations. The transit case NSN will appear in PS magazine 9 months after fielding and become a sub component on the hand receipt at unit expense. None will be available in the system, then only in desert tan. Units will be gigged on the command inspection for not having the transit case.
You'll have to PMCS every Monday, other services via training schedule. Dispatched on a DD1970 because you can have up to 4 operators. The MG would of course have to take you out and observe your performance on a road test, with and without NVGs. Reducing stoppages and jams would also have to be taught and rehearsed. Annotations made on the 348. Perhaps they will be designated as crew served and S3s will have to brief out on crew turbulence. Perhaps a trip to the wash rack following field training for after operations maintenance. Soldiers will also be subject to road side inspections. I'll let you carry the barrel changing glove and tripod.
