This smacks the same ignorance displayed against every other demographic that ever wanted to serve in OUR military. I dare any of you tell me how keeping a group of people that WANT to serve and protect OUR country from serving is a good thing

This is an absolutely terrible and abhorrent policy decision that goes against the values of the nation and the armed forces. I already hurt for our fellow servicemembers who just got disowned by the President.

I just want it to be fair to everyone. I am a taxpayer and as such why should I pay fro an active member to have an elective treatment that makes them unable to deploy "do the job they were hired for" because when it comes down to it military members are employed by the taxpayers or am I wrong.

My entire family even my wife served. I couldn't join because of Asthma and childhood injuries. I do however know Trans individuals by sexual and have a Pan sexual daughter. So I understand these things I also warned my daughter who loves tattoos about keeping them above her elbows and below her collar line until she finds a career she wants because visible tattoos are not acceptable to many employers. I have a retail business with about 20 employees and there is a dress code and no visible tattoos no facial piercings things like that. So to say I haven't dealt with it is wrong. My daughter came out to me when she was 13 she was upset I could care less as long as she was ok. I don't hate them or suffer with some sort of disgust I just think that they need to meet the standards. If they meet the standards dress code medical everything then fine. I don't feel that an open trans male should be able to use female facilities until totally transitioned and vice versa that would be a distraction maybe not to you but I guarantee to others. So the military has to change how they do things to accomidate a few is crap.

Jesse Bollar - Jesse, you are only "insulted" if you wish to insult yourself. MAJ Bryan Zeski insulted no one. Are you insulting all of the thousands of trans military members that Trump wants to ban from military service? Sounds like it if you think that MAJ Bryan Zeski has insulted you.

I totally agree. I would also ban men, women, hetero, homo etc etc and just have Soldiers, Sailors, and Airmen. Do your job while on the job regardless of anything else. I had a female tell me that I was sexist because I demanded she do her job as a Sailor. I expected that from everyone in uniform. I don't care if you are a blue genie from a bottle. If you are in uniform that all goes away and you are just an American Fighting Person. Remember in boot camp where they say "you are all the same"? Do your damn job and leave the rest for liberty call.
