This is a very important question - not only in this context - but on the battlefield. What collateral damage in terms of mistaken perception of weapons present and/or targeting, immediate and yet uninvolved bystanders, allies, informants, friendlies, more or less supportive, etc vehicles and/or people? What is our obligation to an informant, friendly, or unreliably supportive person and/or his family when someone like Chelsea Manning discloses their association with our forces? Do we warn them, protect them, remove them to a safe area, remove them to another country, take them home? Warmest Regards, Sandy :)

Well, PO1 William "Chip" Nagel… if you view the transcript of the legal action against the Somali officer... it seems that his hiring was a mistake of the left leaning officials who celebrated his induction onto the force...
