Or we could allow free markets to work and solve the health care insurance issue. America had Health Care Insurance before ObamaCare. Get the Federal Government out of running commerce is the answer. And where did the 100% of Americans must be insured? What if an individual does not want to pay for health care insurance because they are young and healthy?

The ACA was NOT single payer. That was its big flaw.
Further, many doctors will decry any form of government healthcare, because their reimbursement rates go down greatly.
Again, what you need to look at is our total cash outlay for healthcare in this country vs. our total outcomes, and compare it to, say the NHS in the UK. They spend far less and have far greater outcomes. It seems like a worthy investment to me.
The current system enriches the for-profit medical industry but does nothing to improve healthcare.
And the use of "socialism" is fear mongering at its finest. Pure market forces have resulted in the costs of healthcare in this country becoming so high that people cannot pay cash for healthcare, as was the case when I was a child. My parents had "major medical" for serious health issue, but paid cash for annual checkups, colds, broken arms, etc. Nobody but the wealthy can afford to do that under our current system.

LCDR Rabbah Rona Matlow - You do realize you live in America. Now, Venazuela has single payer. I hear its working perfectly well.

Col Martin, last I checked I was. I served 22 years, yet I see more and more people's rights under attack these days. This is one of them.

LCDR Rabbah Rona Matlow - people's rights? Individuals have no rights when it comes to medical care. In America you can obtain emergency medical care at any time at any hospital emergency room Too many People want and expect Free. Where does Free come from? It comes from the work of others. You expect the Federal Government take take over and confiscate the powers of commerce from an industry that existed on its own before government intervention. By some magic you and others think that this Federal Government of intellectual wizards that got us in 20 Trillion in debt should now be trusted with controlling 1/5 of the economy. All I can say is good luck and get ready for rationed medical care. You by the way are one that would receive rationed care. Tough one to put an answer to, but option 3 does sound fairly decent.
