Funny thing is he's wearing just slightly less bling than the Army wears on the ASU today.

MSgt George Cater you must be referring to the Infantry, which is of course the queen of battle. Everyone knows that a queen must have her decorations.

LOL. So why are they creating the 'Expert Action Badge' to go with the 'I went to basic' ribbon and the other 'everyone gets one' things? No wonder people pay to have their ASU set up for pics.

As with many things, when it comes to ribbons and decorations, the Marines have it right.

Laugh In among others (including Star Trek) was broadcast during the years when I had fallen off the planet. '66 to '67 - Infantry School. '67 to '68 - Vietnam. '68 to '72 - Hawaii (we didn't yet have satellite TV and shows were broadcast a week after they appeared on the mainland) In none of those places did we watch much TV. Thus, I saw all of them in reruns. Funny thing is that I think I may have seen a "pilot" of Laugh In broadcast a couple years before I enlisted in the Army. It was an unannounced special call "The Nut House". It ran for an hour with no commercials and was packed with zany skits. Of course, both the Nut House and Laugh In were largely constructed from the humor of Ernie Kovacs

Oh for the good old days. Three network channels, if you were lucky, and national anthem at midnight before the Indian and snow.
