I don't get it. Who are the so called guardians of Judeo-Christian morality? and when did the declare war? What I have seen is that the left and in particular the Antifa have used military tactics in their protests and that they have been allowed to commit crimes by sympathetic mayors and attorney generals. The folks on the right have just as much of a right to civil protests as the folks on the left. The also have a right to be prepared to defend themselves if the Antifa folks counter with violence.

Yes. I would recommend reading the entire article. I chose the portion I did because it is where the author makes a logical leap from the actual attacks from the left to the potential future state where the right throws away it's own ethos and swallows the idea that violence is an acceptable political means in the US.

No safe spaces here on rallypoint. If you don't like it, you can log off or click to a different section. This is not uc-berkeley were unemployed druggies protest and burn stuff. Most the protesters at UC Berkeley were not from the campus.

LTC (Join to see) - Quite honestly, I don't think it matters if it were recent or not. Trump's caustic and divisive rhetoric was even worse during his campaign. His respect of minorities and women during his campaign were out of the 60's. Thankfully we actually have courts of law and senators of the Freedom Caucus and Democrats working towards a more moderate and rational agenda. He hasn't been able to accomplish anything during his presidency. A trend that I hope he keeps up. Tulsi Gabbard 2020.

SPC Lucas Diercouff - I respect Tulsi gabbard. Donald Trump has his issues and all I'm saying is we'll just let the courts or the Senate figure it out. I'm pretty much staying out of it and supporting him.

SPC Lucas Diercouff - I know Tulsi gabbard is in Hawaii and she is a major in the Army National Guard. She's a moderate or conservative Democrat in my very conservative friend who's a retired colonel in Hawaii really respects her. Least we have something we both can agree on that she's a good person and would be a good candidate for president. Echelon above pay-to-play Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton may have way more experience but she's too connected and there's too many skeletons in her closet even before her server issue.

With the last 50 years of lies and misleading Americans to believe they are entitled for free stuff, the time is ripe for low information voters on both sides to riot. Division has been accomplished and it was to make America weak.
All that is needed, is a global event. It will not go to waste.

SSG Robert Webster Let's keep it out in the open - President Nixon kept that crop healthy with generous amounts of his own manure, liberally distributed.

You said, "You do not know a damn thing about the "Great Society" legislation do you?"

I must admit, you caught me up short with that one. I didn't expect that kind of a challenge. So I looked it up. If what I found is accurate, then, I have to say, "Yes. It turns out I do know at least a bit about it." For pity's sake, given the amount and reach of all the Laws and Regulations that came out of that package of Bills, there isn't a citizen in the Country that doesn't know SOMETHING about it. Maybe not by that label...

The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History gives the following summary of the major parts of the 'package' (and my perception of them)...

24th Amendment, banning poll taxes in Federal elections; Good

Civil Rights Act of 1964; Good

Urban Mass Transportation Act; Good

Economic Opportunity Act (Head Start, Job Corps, Work-Study programs, VISTA, Neighborhood Youth Corps, Community Action Programs (CAPS); Mostly Good.

Food Stamp Act (boost to agriculture, improved nutrition for low income families); Double Good - for agriculture and the poor

Wilderness Preservation Act banned commercial use of federal forest land; Bad - being born and raised in a logging family in the Northwest, this one wasn't all that popular with me/my family

Medicare and Medicaid; Mixed.

Voting Rights Act; Good

Immigration and Nationality Act; made immigration more equitable between regions of the world, maintained quotas; Good

Higher Education Act; Good

Elementary and Secondary Education Act; Good

HUD; mixed Good

Demonstration Cities and Metropolitan Development Act; mixed Good

Truth in Packaging Act; definite Good

Is that what you were talking about? Maybe you'd be willing to share your thoughts on the matter.
