It is good to see some civility for a change. It is a shame it took 5 people being targeted for their political party affiliation to wake some up. Hopefully they can find a way to bring it to the floor of the house. Disagreement on policy is fine and good. The non stop demonization is poisoning the process and fueling the crazies to action. The shooter is responsible for his actions but we cannot ignore the reality of the heated rhetoric and what it can do to the unstable.

and a lot of that blame belong to the media for fanning the flames of hatred and driving crazies from extreme positions to act. Extreme right and extreme left both scare Me and both are influenced by the negative media hype. Those in the center from both parties need to meet in the middle and work together for a change, not for their political parties but the American People ! Seems that is what many of them have forgot !
