Today is hitting me harder than normal for some reason. It's a burning feeling of honor and pride to know the sacrifice a lot of men and women have given for us to be here, yet also a feeling of intense sadness and pain because they paid for it with their lives. Whether you love this amazing country or hate it, so many have died for your right to pick what way you want to think and do things. For that I am so grateful. I am so honored to serve behind these people. I hope that one day I can make a difference like they have. I pray for them all. I pray for this country. Enjoy the day, drink beer, eat red meat, be proud of this country because I know those who are not with us would want you to. God Bless the USA.

I understand and feel the same. I keep thinking of the two wives that I had to inform that their husbands were not coming home, I will never forget the look in their eyes when they received the news - it haunts me to this day.
