I really miss the khakis, but this is a good choice as well.
I only wish we could make up our minds on uniforms and stick with one.

well top, WE can, it is the people at the tip top who want to keep changing things that do not need to be messed with. But for my money, The Pinks and Khakis for the Officers, and the Ike jackets for the troops were always the smartest looking in my opinion (Johdpers for Cav Armor)

Bring them back along with the Ike Jacket and the Khakis also.
There is a whole lot of "Quit Changing Uniforms" on here...I agree...Go back to the BDUs, or the OG107s and leave it alone. The OG107 and Green Jungle Boots is the best uniform we ever had. BUT...Green CANVAS sided jungle boots proved to be great in the field and popular in garrison, the army first took them away and then changed the Canvas to non breathable black nylor that can MELT in a fire.....Yep, somebody is making money someplace.

Rog, there is ALWAYS someone making money on our backs.
But I liked the Ike jackets because they are also pretty good at blending in (look at some of the pics from WW2) in a pinch.

I have been in for almost 13 years I had been issued and worn BDU, DCU, ACU, OCP, OCPII, IPFU, APFU, Greens & Blues. I agree the pinks and greens are a sharp looking uniform that is iconic with the "greatest" generation. But here is an idea, stop changing uniforms. Every time we change the uniforms we change the equipment, that adds on cost. We can use that cost instead to train our fighting force.

We now have OCPII that we have to get all the field gear to match. The ASU that now everyone has that was a job to get the reserves and national guard fully uniformed. Then there is the new APFU that is like the OCPII still being fielded to reserves and national guard. Again I like the look of the pinks and greens especially with the Ike jacket I have two at home that has been passed down to me. But now is really not the time for another uniform change.
